Sorry I'm late, I tried the lentils and suggest against them. My roommate is from hawaii and showed me a dish that with a little change would be great for a bulking diet. It's called the loco moco, here's a link to it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loco_Moco I replace the hamburger with chicken and the gravy with slasa. I also maake a 3 egg patty with 1 yolk instead of fried eggs. The meal comes out to be about 75-80 grams protein and 65 grams of carbs totaling a little over 800 calories.

Hey just joined and wanted to say hi. Also wanted to share something. Ran across a food item but haven't tried it yet. It's called red lentils. 13 grams of protien and 30 grams of carbs for every 1/4 cup. Only a 1.44 a lb too so really cheap. Was wondering if anyone else has tried these and I'll let you know how they were when I have.

you can also add an egg or two if you're feeling a little crazy. this is an awesome shake for the morning and i really feel energized after consuming it for hours afterwards. i have a few other meal options if you want too. thanks

i throw about 16 ounces of milk (soy milk is fine, or half milk, half water depending on preference), two packs of instant oatmeal (i like blueberry or strawberry), two tbsp peanut butter, 1 banana, two scoops of your favorite protein

i have a great "first meal of the day shake" that i love.. it really helps kick-start the metabolism and it's perfect for the muscles to chew on after having hybernated for the night's sleep.
