A BodyGroup especially for long-distance runners. There's always one more goal or PR (personal record) to reach. What supplements have worked for you? What training strategy has helped? Where is your next race? What PR's have you already attained? This is the place to share.
The goal of this group is to keep stretching, to keep setting and attaining reasonable goals, and to stay motivated.
Group Commitment
"Every member of this group committed to..."
Every member of this group must be committed to being helpful, respectful, constructive, and encouraging. Each runner takes his/her own path and may be at a different stage of development and achievement. We are primarily competing against the course, the elements, and our own personal limitations.

Jul 14, 2009 2:01pm Not that this is all that exiciting for your all, but I was able to get in a 4 mi run in 28:54 on a hilly course when it was 91 degrees out. Best Part, that was only the 4th run I completed this whole year. 3 screws in my lower tibia (inside ball on ankle) makes running painful. Getting stronger is helping my compensate for my inability to run as much as I would like. Good luck to you all during your summer running.

Mar 14, 2009 5:09am Runs up to 40 miles/week. All done in the comfort of a treadmill. Hoping to get to get my mileage to 50 and to lose 4lbs before I go for long outdoor runs.
Using runnersworld.com Smartcoach.

Jan 28, 2009 6:56pm Most of my 'unwell' feelings after a run have (so far as I can tell) been related to dehydration or energy depletion; (I've been trying to drink more and have also started using BSN Volumaize during the run - we'll see if that changes anything); however, I really haven't had headache issues, mostly nausea and general exhaustion

Jan 28, 2009 10:17am Anyone ever get really bad headaches after doing a long run? I've been getting a lot of those lately and was wondering if there is something I'm not doing right.

Dec 26, 2008 9:37am I'm going for a half-marathon distance on New Year's eve. Not a sanctioned race, but I want to end the year with a bang and not feel guilty about the parties afterward.
