@AvinDude: you have a few options my friend: 1) Use the pulldown machine. 2) Use a pull-up assist machine. 3) Have a partner help you up. 4) Use the smith machine to set the bar low enough so that you can help yourself up. Best! Lee

@jkemp12 Key thing is to follow the diet. The right diet will be the one responsible for putting your body in a fat burning state. Best! Lee

Hi Freddy. A good starting point would be the following: 230 x 1 = 230 grams of protein 230 x 1.5 = 345 grams of carbs 230 x .3 = 69 grams of fats That comes out to: (230x4) + (345x4) + (69x9) = 2,921 calories. If you see that you don't lose 1-lb of fat per week on the first 2 weeks, then reduce the carbohydrate calories by taking off 50 grams. Every 2 weeks assess progress and if fat loss slows down, you can increase cardio a bit or reduce carb calories. Best! Lee

@rocksolidpastor: Try to lower the weight on the exercises and see how that feels. Use a 4 second negative (take 4 seconds to lower the weight) with a 2 second positive. See if that helps. If not, try changing to exercises that do not hurt. If all free weight exercises hurt, try machines and see if that will allow you to continue training. If not, you should see a Doctor and you may need to lay off upper body training until you heal. Best! Lee

Nutrition and training are similar to the two wheels on a bicycle. If both are in working condition you can go anywhere, but if one is out of commission – if you have a flat tire – you’re not going to go anywhere. So, the nutrition has to be just right in order to support the training, and to get the desired results.

starting the 12 weeks today and wondering what you suggest for someone who can't do pull-ups? Just do Negatives?
