What is the best way to build strength to do pullups. I could do them before I had a baby, but I am still working on building the strength back up. Any tips would be awesome!

Board Press: This is a special max effort exercise designed to help strengthen the lockout of the bench press. It is also very effective in increasing tricep strength. This exercise is performed exactly the same as the bench press except you pause the barbell on a board that is placed on your chest. The board for this work out will be two 2 by 6 boards about 18 inches in length. make sure to pause the barbell on the boards before the accent.

curls w/chains part2: The only thing that I would advise you to do is make sure that when the barbell is at the top, be sure that there are some links of the chains on the floor. This will eliminate the swing of the chain. Perform the reps smoothly and this is not the exercise to perform with a hint of a cheat (i.e. don't perform an underhand hang clean).

Barbell Curls w/ Chains www.eltefts.com Barbell curls w/ chains are a great way to accomodate the strength curve and get more resistance at the top.
